I am a licensed MFT with over 12 years of experience working in private practice, residential and outpatient treatment programs with clients who struggle with addictions and co-occurring disorders.
As a therapist, I have experienced great fulfillment helping my clients work through issues of addiction, depression; grief and loss; anxiety; social discomfort; relationship conflict/divorce; loneliness; low self esteem; mid-life crises; and fear of change. Helping men and women who struggle with love addiction, co-dependence and Alanon issues are areas of special interest .
My goal is to help my clients find ways to live more fulfilling lives, while strengthening their ability to withstand life's inherent challenges.
I believe that psychotherapy can help clients gain insight into how their past contributes to current struggles, thus allowing them to make changes in the present that can lead to more meaningful and contented lives.
I view the relationship between therapist and client as a partnership, one that provides safety and the unconditional support clients need to be able to look at and work through issues that cause them discomfort or heartache. I am flexible, warm and interactive in my approach.
